Our client owns and operates in France the longest high-pressure natural gas transmission network in Europe. It participates in the management of networks in Germany and provides expertise and consultancy services in the field of gas transport in Europe and worldwide.
We have been working for this European leader in gas transport for more than ten years on various project management assignments. About twenty ECP employees are in place on project control missions at our client’s offices in the Hauts de Seine department near Paris.
Within the Projects and Engineering Department, a pair of shock team members work within the “Moderato cell” on project monitoring and resource management.
No less than 2000 projects are managed simultaneously in Moderato, a tool published by Clarity, and there are 450 internal and 200 external collaborators. It is necessary to succeed in fluidifying the placement of these resources on projects according to the number of hours planned and realised. By analysing the association of project data and resources, the tool allows us to know precisely the adequacy of loads/resources.
Our consultants proposed a solution to optimise the existing solution by interfacing it with the functionalities of the Power BI tool. This development ensures the consistency of data in Moderato.
Around forty people use Moderato to enter their workload data and our consultants are regularly brought to train them. They produce materials and also transmit their skills via the company’s internal social network.

For the greatest satisfaction of our client, the cost optimisation resulting from the use of these tools and the expertise of their users is no longer to be proven.
