Parceling mission in South Africa

After two weeks of preparation in Chalon-sur-Saône at our client Framatome, one of our experts travelled to South Africa in July 2019 to work near the Koeberg power station in South Africa.

In 2021, for the first time, work is to be carried out to replace two of the six steam generators at this unique African nuclear power plant. This type of project, which is perfectly mastered in France, is not as well mastered on site where the processes and equipment are different. We bring our expertise in package management and planification, inspired by the processes applied on French nuclear power plants.

After an important work of collecting technical information from local partners, our consultant presented the best hypothesis envisaged to adapt this type of work to local specificities.

Outside of his working hours, our collaborator carries out unusual tourist visits. He had the chance to go to the Cape of Good Hope. He also went to visit Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned from June 1964 to April 1982. He also met by chance Nicolas Hulot who was there for the 100th anniversary of Mandela’s birth!
