Two nuclear power plant projects are currently underway in the UK and ECP’s teams are investing their usual energy and expertise.
The HPC project, Hinkley Point C, is an EPR* project in the UK. It is located in Somerset. Work began in July 2008 and construction is scheduled to begin in 2016. HPC is a 3,200 MWe nuclear power plant comprising two EPR reactors. The project is jointly financed by two major nuclear players and the reactor components come from all over the world.
Our parisian, lyon and tourangelle teams performs various PMO functions and is organised in an “integrated “plateau”. Our managers manage operational consultants with various profiles (planning, quality, contract monitoring, etc.).
The success of our teams on site are the result of numerous parameters such as the coordination and organisation of the plateau and the regular increase in autonomy of new arrivals through the transfer of skills.
Using the Oracle Primavera and Planisware tools, we build, update and keep project schedules alive. We work on complex schedules of several thousands of lines, multi levels, multi tools, linked with other dimensions (costs, resources…).
We carry out analyses, identify critical paths and synthesise milestones and recommendations for the project.
We also ensure very close monitoring of the status and deadlines of the project’s contractual deliverables.
Concerning the quality subject, we take charge of the management of non-conformities, contribute to the quality repository and supports such as organisation notes or project management plans.
We provide contractual support and monitor the proper consideration of events that may occur on the contract(s) by the project players.
Thanks to a rigorous recording of events and their impact on the project, we ensure the traceability of changes that have taken place between two project baselines, in terms of deadlines and costs, and contribute to the control of the schedule and costs at the end of the project. Finally, we assist the client in the integration and deployment of new IT solutions, particularly PLM** type solutions, with the aim of guaranteeing the consistency of project data between the parties involved.
